Cohorts are a type of behavioral analytics on Contlo that helps in assessing your company’s progress during a standard time period. They can be used to analyze customer behavior across their life cycle which can be leveraged to understand the trends and patterns of customers over time and eventually tailor offers and design engagement strategies to the identified cohorts.

Key Features:

  • Create cohorts based on Average Order Value, Customer Retention and Revenue Retention
  • Aggregation can be done by either Percentage or Value for different time periods
  • After selecting all the options that one wants to see in the cohort, one can also extract the CSV file of the same

Steps after installation:

  • Select the cohort type that you want to analyze
  • Select the aggregation type for the same
  • Select the time period for which you want to see the cohort
  • After selecting all the options that you want to see in the cohort, click on generate details
  • You can also extract the CSV file of the same

How it works:

The first column named “Cohort” of the graph shows the month for each cohort. The second column, titled “Month 0,” lists the total number of customers retention in the activity for the month listed in the adjacent row. The subsequent numbered columns (labelled Month 1 – 6/12/18/24) show the total number of profiles that continued to engage in that activity in each subsequent month. The higher the value of each cohort, the darker the color will be. This helps you quickly identify the strongest and weakest performance of these cohorts over time for your given metric.
